Take me out to the BALL GAME!

Welp, Caleb did it. He decided to try ONE more year to play baseball. As soon as they got home, he ran right out to the back yard with Chris and started practicing. And... wouldn't you know it, Chris had him catching the ball and stopping ground balls! I'm so proud of him and Chris! Good job... YEA! So, of course, I'm doing what every mom & dad does... took the candy bars to work for the baseball fundraiser... not too great of luck yet... but hopefully once word gets out, we'll sell out. I'll keep you updated on Caleb's games... keep your fingers crossed that he does well so he doesn't get discouraged.

Biting changes the milk dispenser :)

Well, little Van now has 2 teeth on the bottom, and as I found out last night.... is not afraid to use them!!! OW! So... needless to say, I'm going to start weaning him from the breast to the bottle. I'll probably pump for a while, but I think I'm done being Elsie. He's now eating cereal 2x a day, usually with green beans, sweet potatoes, carrots, applesauce, peaches, bananas OR pears.... goodness. I bought him some peas and squash the other day, so we'll see how he does with those. He REALLY loves green beans. It's hilarious. He looks like he's having a seizure in between bites - waving his arms, yelling, opening his mouth wide -even crying if I don't move fast enough! I guess we have a good eater on our hands. Only problem now is, he's waking up again in the middle of the night.... around 3:30am... and he'll drink about 6oz of milk THEN! Little piglet. But last night he did something he's never done. I was so tired after nursing him that I didn't bother rocking him back to sleep, I just had Chris put him back in the crib (drowsy) and he fell back to sleep on his own! I was so proud of him. Usually he needs someone to cuddle with. Yet another sign he is progressing. This morning we tried a Baby Einstein DVD with him because my co-worker Autumn was telling me how much her baby loves them. Well, I can see why.... if I were a baby, I would love them too. He watched Baby Mozart today (one of my fave composers)... and loved it! I got on Netflix and put all of them in our queue. OK - enough about peanut. Caleb is doing great also. He's finishing up a project for school. It's kind of like a research paper, but at the 4th grade level. I'm so proud of him. I was going to help him do his research, but he did it all by himself, and I can't wait to see the final product. He's so intelligent and what a wonderful kid. Chris and I are still trying to talk him into baseball, sign-ups are this Saturday, so I hope he tries just one more time. Well, better get off here and grab some lunch --- yummy! Left over lasagna - MY recipe! THE BEST! Or at least that's what my men say!

Love to all,

Potential Meltdown...

Well, Reggie and Marty just left this morning after an eventful 2 day visit. It was great and soo good to see them, but last night after letting all the dogs out at once, Dumplin vanished! We called and called for her.... Chris and his Dad were out in the back yard frantically looking for her and Mom Bradshaw was inside becoming a panicked mess. I've never seen anyone get so upset so quickly. I, on the other hand, was sitting on the couch feeding the baby... so I couldn't contribute much to the "Hunt for Dumplin." So after about 15 minutes of complete and utter chaos... who comes prancing out of one of the bedrooms like nothing was going on??? DUMPLIN!!!! What a little bitch! (Forgive the pun... lol). Anyway, all was very happy that she was found and Marty didn't have a heart attack, THANK GOD! Chris got a shopping spree at Kohl's for dress shirts and pants.... (to help with his job hunt). And I got towels because I refuse to buy any clothes until I lose some weight. Other than that... all is well in Bradshaw land.

Love to all

Please pray for us!

Well, Chris did not get the job and he is so totally bummed about it. I know he's scarded and rightfully so because we desperately need some money coming in. I'm afraid we're going to lose everything! But, I know that God is good and he will provide for us. Everything else is fine. Just preparing for Caleb's big 10th birthday. He's having an Extreme Sports party... should be lots of fun. He's a great kid and deserves a great birthday. Well that's about it for today... baby was laughing so cute out loud the other day... if nothing else we have beautiful children! Keep your fingers crossed for us.

Love to all, Teri
