Caleb in his Michael Vick garb . . . not so sure I want him to be a role model for my son anymore since the "secret compartment" incident.

Oh lord, Momma's looking rough Christmas morning.

Chris in his Ohio State jersey... thankfully before the BCS Championship debauchle. Doesn't Chris look like his Mom in this picture? ;)

After Christmas Recovery

Well, Christmas went great! Dad was here, so it was so nice spending some time with him! New Year's went well also. Our friend Steve came over with his 3 boys, so Caleb had a good time! Steve is such an inspiration to me. He's a single Dad of 3 very demanding and rambunctious boys, and he works his fingers to the bone in order to give them what he can. I wish every man was like that. Some men claim to care for their children and yet, do NOTHING for them. I just wish I could find a woman who would love him and the kids! He's such a sweetheart. Maybe I'll write Oprah or Dr. Phil! :)

We found a nice twinplex condo that we are going to be moving into. It's kinda out in the country, so that will be nice, but it's also with a cul-de-sac community with a bunch of kids. So at least the kiddos won't feel isolated. The best part about it all . . . we don't have to maintain the place, and even the landlord does the yard work. Perfect for the busy family that we are. It's a two-story with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and has a 2-car attached garage. I think it will be a nice, happy place for us to live, and will take a lot of stress off of us as well.

Caleb is now playing basketball, it's not his favorite sport, but in his words . . . "it keeps me off my butt." Smart kid! Unfortunately, he's home with a stomach virus today. Poor kid. Every since Van's been in daycare, whatever he gets, we get. Chris and I had it yesterday! He's doing great academically . . . we're hoping for straight A's next report card.

Van is doing well, except he is our little hellion. He is so BAD!!!! And, I say that in a loving way, of course. He seems to be progressing more physically than verbally . . . he is climbing on top of everything, and he thinks it's a treat when we let him walk up or down the stairs (holding our hand, of course). He's scary because he has no fear!!! He doesn't say many words, except for "mom," "dad," "more," "no," "juice," and "cheesy." But he does respond with either a nod or shake of his head when you ask him a question. Oh, he did say "car," the other day, too. :)

Chris' job is going well. He's working 7 days a week, so lots of overtime and bringing home the BIG bucks now... well, not really . . . but much better than we had gotten used to. :)

I just started my Geology class which seems to be pretty interesting, but when it came to lab time and we were expected to identify the minerals, from the rocks, and then the rocks into 3 groups, igneous, sedimentary or metamorphic, well . . . . my stomach started to hurt. They all looked the same to me... just different colors. But they weren't all the same, diff colors, diff luster, diff density.... it was like playing Clue. In the end I didn't do too bad, though. Also, I have taken control of my weight loss. I have joined Nutrisystem, and have even made a website so that all of you who care about me, will keep an eye on my progress and keep me honest. Check it out... http://terilyn.extrapounds.com Leave comments of love, support and encouragement, please! I can use every bit of it!

Love to all
