Updates . . .

So, for all of you who are wondering what happened with Caleb's hearing . . . let's just say that it turned out as expected. Erin never showed up for his Guardian at Litem meeting or the hearing. He called Ohio that morning and claimed that he had been in a car accident in Louisville, Ky and that he wouldn't be able to make it. That is interesting considering that I was told he was seen in N. Little Rock that very day eating lunch. Hmmm... kind of hard to be in 2 places at the same time, huh? So, anyway, as of August 7th, all of his visitation rights have been terminated. Needless to say, I am happy and relieved with the outcome, because I know that Caleb is safe and sound and not around any violence or chaos, but it's also sad that it had to come to this. I will pray for Erin that he will realize what he has done to the people who love him and that he supposedly loves, and that he will change his ways. He truly is a lost soul.

Besides that, Chris, the kids and I just returned from a brief visit to South Carolina. We had a great time. We took the kids to the waterpark and to the beach, and downtown Charleston was so charming! I loved it. Chris had an interview with a government contractor, and we're still waiting on the outcome of that. They told him we'd know in about a week - well tomorrow is a week. So please, pray for that situation. I have already found a few jobs that I'm interested in down there, but Chris has to get one first before I can really start looking. I hope we're down there be Christmas. Caleb is so excited about living near the beach!

Van is doing great, he's not walking yet, but he can get to wherever he needs to go in a flash on his knees, so I guess he's not the anxious to walk. OH well, he's only 10 months, I think Caleb was 11 months when he took his first steps! His latest measurements: 29" long, 19lbs 4 oz

Alright, that's about it. I'll be posting photos of the trip real soon, so come back often.

Love all of you
